Every sculpture tells a story—and for Nate Johnson, that story began in 1989.

With a natural eye for design and a passion for hands-on artistry, Nate discovered ice carving early in his career and never looked back. After years of refining his skills in Chicago’s fast-paced event scene, he founded Johnson Studios in 2010 to focus on custom, high-impact ice creations.

His work has earned national recognition through live carving demonstrations and competitions, as well as features in television commercials. But beyond the accolades, Nate remains dedicated to the craft itself—transforming frozen blocks into dynamic, one-of-a-kind works of art.

Now serving the Midwest from offices in Chicago and Fort Wayne, Johnson Studios continues to blend artistry, experience, and creativity to help clients celebrate life’s moments in a truly unique way.
